€15.77 MILLION to be spent on KERRY NRA Roads in 2015
· Increase of over 50% on 2014

KERRY Fine Gael TD, Brendan Griffin, has received confirmation from the National Roads Authority (NRA) that over €15.77 MILLION is to be provided for the improvement of NRA roads in Kerry in 2015.
Deputy Griffin said:
“I am delighted that we will see works to the value of over €15.77 MILLION on NRA roads in Kerry in 2015.
“Of this, almost €4.5 MILLION will be spent on improving further stretches of the N86 Tralee to Dingle Road to the high standard that is already completed to the east of Annascaul.
“There will also be substantial investment of €2.65 MILLION in parts of the N70 at the Kilderry Bends, Gleensk, Ballintleave, Dromcunnia and on the southern approach to Killorglin.
“The Realagh realignment on the N71 will receive €1.2 MILLION and the N72 at Shinnagh will receive €425,000. €700,000 will be spent on bridge rehabilitation works in Kerry next year.”
The €15.7 MILLION that will be spent by the NRA in Kerry in 2015 is separate to the money that will be spent on regional and local roads, details of which will be announced early in the new year.
