59 rural locations in Kerry to benefit under broadband strategy – Griffin
Implementation will be key

KERRY Fine Gael TD, Brendan Griffin, has today welcomed the Government announcement that 59 locations in Kerry are to benefit from plans to greatly increase access to high speed broadband in rural Ireland and says that he will be closely monitoring the implementation of the plan.
“Under these plans announced by the Government today, 59 rural communities in Kerry will be targeted for improved connections.
“The absence of fibre networks in rural communities has led to broadband blackspots throughout Kerry and this plan aims to tackle this problem. The lack of high speed broadband in rural areas in Kerry has held the county back in recent years, so hopefully, this ambitious project will address the areas of the country which cannot access commercial high speed broadband.
“Like any plan, implementation will be key, so I will do all I can in my role to ensure that all 59 locations planned in Kerry will get what they’re being promised.”
