KERRY Fine Gael TD, Brendan Griffin, has welcomed news that Kerry financial services group Fexco is to open 20 new foreign exchange outlets across the UK between now and the end of 2014.
Fexco already has 17 No. 1 Currency outlets in the UK and the planned expansion will increase that number to 37, resulting in 80 new jobs being created.
Deputy Griffin said the further UK expansion by Fexco is a great sign of it’s strength and potential.
“This is very positive news for Kerry. Here we have a company that already employs 800 people in Kerry now expanding further into the UK, which demonstrates the great health of the company but also that there may be even further potential for this great Kerry and Irish success story.
“I wish Fexco continued success in their endeavours and as a representative of the people of Kerry, I wish to sincerely thank Brian McCarthy and his large team of dedicated colleagues for their enormous contribution to the Kerry economy over the years.”
